An internationally recognized manufacturer and service provider of heavy industrial machinery for the energy sector is actively seeking a skilled 2nd or 3rd Year Welder for their specialized shop in Leduc, Alberta. Renowned for top-tier safety protocols and cutting-edge technological solutions, this organization offers a fantastic setting to refine your welding expertise on heavy-duty industrial gear. This is a full-time, permanent role with an urgent start date projected within the upcoming two weeks.

Job Responsibility

  • Structural repair, rebuilding, and hard-facing of industrial augers and related drilling equipment
  • Configure and safely operate welding machinery, strictly adhering to SMAW (Stick welding) techniques and precise engineering specifications
  • Analyze and accurately interpret blueprints, complex structural schematics, and standard welding symbols
  • Execute critical material preparation, which includes grinding, using plasma torches for cutting components, and precisely fitting parts together before welding
  • Guarantee that every finished project strictly complies with both CWB regulations and the company's rigorous internal quality control measures
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop environment while taking an active, engaged role in all scheduled safety briefings and hazard assessments

Requirements

  • CWB tickets specifically in the SMAW process
  • Previous practical experience working within a busy manufacturing, heavy industrial, or oil and gas service facility
  • Officially registered as either a 2nd-Year or 3rd-Year Welder Apprentice
  • Must clear a standard, comprehensive pre-employment screening for drugs and alcohol
  • Must be locally based or willing to commute to Leduc daily, and ready to start within the next 2 weeks
