This is a 11-week paid learning experience during which you'll be able to connect and network with other interns and leaders within the company. Join T-Mobile's AI Agents team this summer and work on real products that customers use every day. You'll design and build intelligent agents for customer support and sales, tackle actual business problems with real data, and see the direct impact of what you create. You'll own initiatives from start to finish and help shape how millions of customers interact with T-Mobile. You will build and iterate on 1-2 AI Agents in T-Mobile's IntentCX program. You will build across modalities (chat and voice) using OpenAI's chat and realtime voice models. You will focus on either customer service, helping to answer questions and integrate customer data, OR on how T-Mobile sells its products. You will have a direct impact to hundreds of thousands of customer interactions every day!
Job Responsibility:
Build and Iterate on AI Agent(s) which either improve T-Mobile's customer support or sales functions
Integrate T-Mobile APIs into the context/prompt of your agent
Integrate your AI Agent into IntentCX's multi-agent framework
Integrate your AI Agent(s) with T-Mobile's T-Life app, website, or customer support phone number
Requirements:
Coding experience (Python is usually key for AI work)
Understanding of how APIs work
Familiarity with data analysis or machine learning basics
Comfortable working with large datasets
Problem-solving mindset: you need to figure out what customers actually need, not just build cool tech
Communication skills to explain technical work to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams
Comfortable with ambiguity: AI projects rarely have clear-cut answers
Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or chatbot frameworks
At least 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the United States
High School Diploma or GED
Must be actively enrolled in a degree program or graduated with the last year
Employees of T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile are ineligible for Internship
