This position will be responsible in addition to the Paint General Laborer tasks, the E-Coat Paint Line Clerk duties. Overtime: Employees must be willing to work in excess of 8 hours in one shift as business conditions require it. Employees must be willing and available to work weekends on an on-going basis if needed. Overtime will be paid for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in any one week. Clerks will be expected to cover other shifts if clerks are absent.
Job Responsibility:
Monitoring RSC material handling system: Ensuring that it sends enough baskets/racks to keep the TTX system fed and prevents hoists from waiting to meet production targets on loads/hour
Clearing faults and manually jogging system as needed
Removing debris and/or mixed parts from baskets before they are sent to the TTX system
Adjusting number of passes on vibratory conveyor as needed
Loading/Unloading manually loaded baskets/racks from Zone 9
Communicating unfamiliar issues to supervisor/engineering/maintenance staff
Clearing faults on TTX system: Clearing hoist faults and jogging them as needed to clear certain issues
Clearing conveyor faults in the oven and communicating unfamiliar oven sequencing issues to supervisor/engineering/maintenance staff
Communicating unfamiliar faults to supervisor/engineering/maintenance staff
Taking notes accurately throughout the shift to document any downtime on either system. Fill out and submit daily clerk checklist sheet
Understanding and performing Startup/Shutdown procedures depending on shift
Collect all shift paperwork and submit to supervisor at end of shift
Prepare for hoist inspection as needed
Follows directions and adheres to all safety and work instructions
Motivated/Self-starter
Ensures production is to Victaulic’s established quality standards
May train others
Operate material handling equipment including fork trucks, pallet jacks and walk behind stacker
Must verify tapped cap kanbans before QA approves
Follows direction for given material priorities
Must be fit tested and trained on chemical additions to system
Requirements:
Ability to follow standard work procedures and instructions
Loading and unloading parts from baskets & racks
Competent in material handling moves with all fork trucks in paint department
Able to transfer different container types (ex. TF tubs to standard trays)
Ability to weight count parts with scale and understanding of packout process
Capable of clearing machine faults (RSC and TTX)
Highly skilled in identifying parts and defects
Complete understanding of Kanban cards, including usage points, supply points, part codes, & descriptions
Understanding of attainment sheets and shift documentation
Uses magnetic articulating arm for heavier castings and capable of clearing faults
Ability to lift to 40 pounds
Familiar with staging powder production for 1st shift
Familiar with loading and unloading racks into and out of cages for Dinamec
Familiar with what order parts should be staged on the powder lift tables and in excess area, according to ear width size and overdue Kanbans
