Alro Steel is currently seeking a 1st Shift Material Handler/Truck Driver to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. Alro Steel Corporation supplies raw materials (carbon, stainless steel, aluminum and red metals) to a variety of manufacturing and other industries.

Job Responsibility:

  • checking, securing and protecting loads prior to delivery
  • delivering material orders to customers
  • assisting customers in unloading process, including obtaining proper signatures on delivery paperwork, identification of material to be unloaded, etc
  • lifting, handling and moving metal products
  • using band saws and shearing equipment
  • using computer equipment
  • filling and preparing customer orders for shipment
  • operating heavy equipment including cranes, forklifts, and processing machinery
