Job Description:

Responsible for directing the day to day outbound operations of the order processing department within the distribution center. Assist in ensuring compliance and productivity while operating.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee all aspects of the order processing department
  • Assist in ensuring that the department is compliant with company operations, policies, and procedures daily
  • Work with the operations managers and DC managers to maintain payroll figures, budgeting, productivity, etc.
  • Responsible for team member evaluations being written and delivered in a timely manner
  • Provide leadership, training, and guidance throughout the department and work to ensure productivity and morale are maintained at a high level
  • Work with the Operations and DC manager to establish annual goals and the plan to follow for accomplishing these goals
  • Work closely with the Human Resources Supervisor and the Operations Manager to ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices
  • Assist the operations and DC managers with planning to prepare annual capital expenditure listing for budgeting purposes
  • Work with the DC manager for approval on any expenditure for the department
  • Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Must be able to multitask and work well in a team environment
  • Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on customer service
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately

Nice to have:

  • College degree or logistics certification
  • 2+ years previous experience in a supervisor role
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Completion of the O’Reilly supervisor training program
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
