Job Description:

Randstad Education is currently recruiting dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils who require additional help to access learning within a classroom setting. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a positive impact on their educational journey.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work closely with an individual pupil throughout the school day, providing tailored academic, emotional, and behavioural support
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering learning activities, adapt tasks to suit the pupil's needs, and help maintain focus and engagement during lessons
  • Support with social interaction, emotional regulation, and transitions throughout the day
  • Follow individual education plans, behaviour strategies, and guidance from the school's SEN team

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in an education or care setting
  • A calm, flexible, and reliable approach
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
  • The right to work in the UK
