Job Description
Randstad Education is currently recruiting dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils who require additional help to access learning within a classroom setting. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a positive impact on their educational journey. As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with an individual pupil throughout the school day, providing tailored academic, emotional, and behavioural support. You will assist the class teacher in delivering learning activities, adapt tasks to suit the pupil's needs, and help maintain focus and engagement during lessons. You may also support with social interaction, emotional regulation, and transitions throughout the day. The role requires patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach. You will be expected to follow individual education plans, behaviour strategies, and guidance from the school's SEN team. Experience supporting children with SEN such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties is desirable, however candidates with a strong willingness to learn and relevant childcare or support experience are also encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibility

Requirements
Experience working with children in an education or care setting
A calm, flexible, and reliable approach
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
