Job Description

The number 1 independent specialist school is looking for a 1:1 teaching assistant to support SEN learners in there award winning school. This school stands apart from other settings due to its commitment to every child ensuring that every child is valued and respected and their personal goals are met! Families, therapists and students have nothing but incredible things to say about this school and all the hard work they do and achieve! This position is a guaranteed permanent opportunity due to start September 2026 (notice periods considered). The school supports 80+ pupils from the age of 5-16 years. The school supports a community ethos and embraces a creative curriculum that supports the child's educational, spiritual and personal needs. The school are commended by parents, pupil's staff and OFSTED and have recently been graded GOOD with elements of outstanding.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting SEN learners on a 1:1, small group and classroom basis
  • Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events

Requirements

  • Any experience level will be considered, ideal candidates will be flexible, resilient and have a positive approach to supporting learners
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Previous experience working in a childcare setting (desirable)
