Job Description

A fantastic school in Coalville is seeking a committed 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. You will work closely with pupils requiring additional support, helping them to thrive both academically and socially. This role would suit someone who is passionate about inclusion and making a lasting difference in pupils’ educational journeys.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support tailored to pupils’ individual needs
  • Help pupils stay engaged, focused, and confident in lessons
  • Support social development and emotional regulation
  • Work alongside teaching staff to deliver personalised learning strategies
  • Promote positive behaviour and structured routines
  • Adapt classroom materials to meet additional learning needs

Requirements

  • TA qualification or relevant childcare/education experience
  • Background in care, youth work, or support roles
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEND
  • Understanding of needs such as Autism, ADHD, or SEMH
  • A calm, nurturing, and resilient personality
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A genuine commitment to supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
