1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Year 2 📍 Redruth | 🗓 September Start | ⏰ Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 1:00pm | 📅 Full Academic Year We are looking for a caring, patient, and dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely and welcoming primary school in Redruth from September. This rewarding role involves supporting a wonderful Year 2 pupil on a one-to-one basis throughout the full academic year. The child is non-verbal and thrives with a calm, nurturing approach. He particularly enjoys water play, spending time in the sensory room, and learning through engaging, sensory-based activities. The Role: - Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with additional needs. - Encouraging communication, engagement, and independence. - Supporting the pupil both in the classroom and during sensory-based activities. - Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide consistent, tailored support. - Helping to create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment. We Are Looking For Someone Who: - Has previous SEN experience (essential). - Is patient, compassionate, and adaptable. - Has experience supporting children with communication needs and/or autism (desirable). - Can build positive relationships and provide a calm, reassuring presence. - Is reliable, committed, and available Monday to Friday, 8:45am – 1:00pm, for the entire academic year.
