Job Description:

Randstad Education is collaborating with specialist provisions in the Liverpool region to find a compassionate and skilled 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to begin immediately. This is a full-time, term-time role with the possibility of becoming permanent for the ideal candidate. As a 1:1 SEN Assistant, you'll be supporting students with a range of complex needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Physical Disabilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver personalised one-to-one support tailored to individual learning plans
  • Foster positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Contribute to lesson planning and classroom activities
  • Work in line with the P Scales or EHCP goals
  • Assist students with varying levels of SEN including SLD, ADHD, and ASD
  • Show resilience, empathy, and adaptability every day

Requirements:

  • A valid Enhanced DBS (child and adult) or willingness to obtain one
  • At least 6 months of recent experience in a UK school setting
  • Prior experience with complex learning profiles is an advantage
  • Commitment to a long-term, full-time position
  • Availability Monday through Friday during term time
  • Two professional references from recent roles
  • Eligibility to work legally in the UK
