Job Responsibility

  • Provide direct care to those ill or injured
  • Screening and referral if needed for health care conditions
  • Medication administration, chronic illness management
  • Assist in promoting healthy, safe environment
  • Act as liaison between school, family and physician
  • Audit immunization records and student health forms
  • Document in the EMR per school system
  • Educate Staff on student on health related issues and treatments as needed
  • Complete online continuing education and attend meetings as requested
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • Valid, active LPN license in the state of Georgia
  • BLS certification
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
  • The ability to lift, push, pull and carry objects that weigh at least 5 pounds frequently
