We are seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to support children and young people with additional learning needs in schools across the Burgess Hill area. This rewarding role involves providing individualised support to pupils who may require assistance with their learning, social development, communication, or emotional wellbeing. You will work closely with teaching staff to help students access the curriculum and achieve their full potential in a positive and inclusive environment.
Job Responsibility
Provide one-to-one support to pupils with additional educational needs
Assist students in accessing classroom activities and learning objectives
Support the development of confidence, independence, and social skills
Implement strategies and interventions as directed by teaching staff and SEN professionals
Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing
Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Requirements
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Previous experience supporting children or young people is advantageous
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, health and social care, or SEN support are welcomed

Experienced in education, care, youth work, or support roles
