The company produces steel and plastic barrels in Wondelgem (Ghent) and Lier, supplying industrial packaging to the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. For our plant in Ghent, we are looking for a Technical Team Leader, who will work in a 2-shift system. This role is a supporting function, in close collaboration with the Maintenance Manager and the production department.

Functieverantwoordelijkheden:

  • Directly managing a team of technicians
  • Providing technical support to the team and actively participating in hands-on tasks
  • Organizing and executing interventions for breakdowns and minor stops
  • Organizing preventive maintenance and staffing in consultation with the Maintenance Manager
  • Following up on machine notification reports and providing feedback/findings/actions to all involved parties
  • Developing improvement projects in the areas of safety, energy, efficiency and quality, from idea to effective implementation
  • All while considering the Zero Harm philosophy

Vereisten:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (electromechanics, business automation or electronics) or equivalent through experience
  • Work experience in a maintenance department within a production environment
  • Knowledge of mechanics (general principles), hydraulics (applications), industrial automation and controls (PLC, frequency controls, motors)
  • Priority on Zero Harm, with personal importance placed on accurately following safety and quality instructions
  • Takes responsibility, is independent and pragmatic
  • Willingness to work in a two-shift system (5am-1pm, 1pm-9pm)
  • Communicative team player who values openness and honesty between colleagues
  • Finds satisfaction in coaching and motivating employees
  • Approaches problems logically and analytically with the goal of finding a correct solution
  • Language proficiency in Dutch and English
