Technical buyer

• Sourcing & R&D: Actively search for the most suitable suppliers and coordinate closely with R&D colleagues
• Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with a sharp focus on price, lead time, and quality
• Supplier Management: Support the Material Planning department with problems, conduct on-site supplier visits, and perform supplier evaluations and audits
• Processes & Tools: Professionalize the purchasing department by implementing tools and procedures (e.g., TCO analyses, selection templates)
• Data & Optimization: Manage master data in the MRP package and identify improvement trajectories (such as EDI, VMI) to make the supply chain more efficient
• Market Knowledge: Closely follow trends and developments within your domain to increase your negotiation power

• Master's degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience as a buyer
• Strong technical affinity, specifically within the metal sector (welded structures, machining, etc.)
• Experience with ERP systems (knowledge of AX/D365 is a major asset)
• Fluent communication in Dutch, French, and English
• Open to regular short trips to suppliers in neighboring countries
• Strong planner and organizer
