Food chemist

• Performing analyses and reporting on field samples
• Visual inspections and product separation
• Process controls on the work floor
• Analyses according to customer specifications
• Ensuring traceability
• Intervening in both packaging and production process
• Maintaining laboratory operations and optimizing processes (SOPs, etc.)
• Calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment
• Managing stock of laboratory consumables and ingredients
• Keeping raw materials up to date in SPEC PDM database
• Participating in weekly planning meetings
• Promoting safety and seeking improvements
• Following Paulig leadership principles and promoting culture
• Supporting the Belgian R&D team in innovation and product development for baking, frying, and snacks
• Delivering samples for various business functions
• Performing laboratory analyses (salt, moisture, pH, viscosity, etc.)
• Initiating and reporting external analyses (microbiology, nutritional values)
• Evaluating shelf-life samples
• Assisting in production test runs and sensory evaluations

• Good knowledge of Dutch
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, laboratory technology, or food science or equivalent experience
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Communication skills
• Quality-conscious work ethic
• Hands-on mentality
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
