The accounting department is a 'spider in the web' when it comes to receiving, processing and delivering all kinds of financial information. You will also work with the Global Business Operations Center for this. Functieverantwoordelijkheden:

participate in monthly and annual closing activities
prepare monthly/annual and ad hoc reporting activities for internal and external stakeholders
ensure correct and complete balance sheet and income statement
follow, implement and improve internal and external accounting processes
process financial and tax reports in a timely manner according to Belgian legislation and internal group rules and requirements
assist business users and management with accounting-related questions
perform reconciliations, analyses and maintain good internal controls in collaboration with the Global Business Operations center
prepare internal and external audits, annual accounts, VAT returns
assess quality issues and communicate them with the team and/or group to find a solution
work closely with the Global Business Support Center
participate in various projects

Vereisten:

diploma, Bachelor or Master, in accounting
minimum 2 to 5 years work experience in accounting in a similar or larger organization
excellent knowledge of Belgian accounting legislation
good knowledge of regulations and standards in accounting, reporting and tax, including General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
thorough knowledge of common tools in accounting & reporting
experience with SAP (S4H) is a plus
strong communication skills
ability to prioritize and multitask
sees problems as challenges
can work in a dynamic environment with rapid changes
fluent in Dutch, French and English, both spoken and written
