This role goes beyond basic data entry; it requires a deep understanding of complex payroll regulations, tax laws, and pension schemes. Senior Payroll Officer jobs typically involve overseeing the processing of monthly or weekly payrolls for large or multi-site workforces, including handling variable pay elements such as overtime, bonuses, commissions, and statutory payments like sick pay, maternity leave, and student loan deductions.
