Furthermore, these principals act as central coordinators, aligning efforts across IT, cybersecurity, risk, compliance, legal, and business units to embed resilience principles into every layer of technology development, procurement, and operations. To excel in this profession, individuals must possess a strong command of regulatory and industry best-practice frameworks such as DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act), NIST (especially 800-34 and 800-53), and ISO 22301 for business continuity. Essential skills include the ability to conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA), perform technology risk assessments, and map critical dependencies across complex hybrid and cloud environments like Azure or AWS.
