This requires exceptional communication skills and a client-first mindset. Beyond client interaction, the role demands rigorous internal oversight. Key responsibilities include the accurate capture and validation of trades, managing the entire trade lifecycle from inception to expiry or unwinding, and performing crucial front-to-back reconciliations. This entails meticulously matching trading desk records with operations and finance systems to identify and resolve any discrepancies promptly. Analysts are also responsible for monitoring corporate actions, such as dividends and stock splits, and ensuring their accurate reflection in swap contracts. Furthermore, a significant part of the role involves identifying, escalating, and helping to mitigate operational risks, working closely with technology teams to resolve system connectivity issues, and assisting in the onboarding of new clients onto trading platforms.
