Discover rewarding Collibra Analyst jobs and embark on a career at the intersection of data governance and technology. A Collibra Analyst is a specialized professional responsible for implementing, configuring, and managing the Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud platform to enable effective data governance within an organization. This role is central to ensuring that data is trusted, understood, and leveraged as a strategic asset. Professionals in this field act as a crucial bridge between technical data teams and business stakeholders, translating governance policies into practical system configurations and workflows. Typically, a Collibra Analyst’s core responsibilities revolve around the administration and optimization of the Collibra platform. This includes designing and customizing the operating model—configuring domains, communities, asset types, attributes, and relationships to reflect the organization's data governance framework. A significant part of the role involves building and maintaining critical governance artifacts such as the business glossary, data dictionary, and data catalog, ensuring metadata is accurate, consistent, and accessible. Analysts also develop and automate workflows using Collibra’s BPMN and workflow designer to streamline data stewardship, approval, and issue resolution processes. A key aspect of the profession is fostering data understanding and quality. Collibra Analysts collaborate closely with data stewards and data owners to define and enforce data standards, policies, and data quality rules. They build dashboards and reports using Collibra Insights to provide visibility into data health, governance metrics, and compliance status. Furthermore, they play a vital role in mapping data lineage by integrating Collibra with various source systems, ETL tools, and BI platforms like Snowflake, Informatica, Tableau, and Power BI. This involves troubleshooting lineage issues and ensuring end-to-end traceability from source to consumption, which is essential for regulatory compliance and impact analysis. To succeed in Collibra Analyst jobs, individuals generally need a blend of technical and functional skills. Proficiency in the Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC) or Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud is paramount, including deep hands-on experience with its configuration and customization capabilities. A strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices is essential. Technical skills often include knowledge of SQL, scripting, and an understanding of APIs for integrations. Equally important are soft skills such as analytical thinking, problem-solving, and excellent communication, as the role requires explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences and collaborating across departments. For those with a passion for data management and governance, pursuing Collibra Analyst jobs offers a dynamic and impactful career path in the growing field of data intelligence.
