Description du poste:

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Technical Writer to join our Technical Publications team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada). You will be part of the Systems team and be responsible for revising the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM).

Responsabilités:

  • Research, plan, write and revise the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM)
  • Communicate regularly with Engineering to validate troubleshooting procedures before being published
  • Analyze engineering source documents to determine impact on the Fault Isolation Manual (FIM) and take steps to revise as needed
  • Analyze and respond to customer inquiries regarding the FIM publication
  • Identify and implement processes and product improvements inline with the Strategic plan
  • Review engineering documentation, carry out impact analyses, review revised tasks for approval and incorporate changes

Exigences:

  • College diploma (DEC) in aircraft maintenance or avionics, or equivalent field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience within the aerospace industry
  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken) in french and english
  • Strong skill set for troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Thorough understanding of technical drawings, wiring/schematic diagrams

Souhaitable:

  • Detailed understanding of Technical Publications processes and technologies
  • Basic understanding of S1000D and ATA specifications
  • Good knowledge of XML authoring language
