The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for an autoflight systems integration professional to join our avionics systems team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada). You will be part of the autoflight systems team responsible for integration and development of new design solutions applicable to the autoflight systems (AFCS) for the A220 aircraft. Your role as an autoflight systems design specialist will be to design and integrate improved solutions related to the A220 aircraft’s automated flight systems.
Responsabilités:
Lead and participate in the design of improved guidance, autopilot, and autothrottle systems (AFCS) for the Airbus A220
Maintain the software architecture during the design phase to ensure its effectiveness and sustainability
Perform debugging in a simulation environment
Participate in requirements generation, review, and approval
Assist in the drafting and review of test objectives
Coordinate with various integrated product/supplier teams and departments for development, design, validation, verification, testing, integration, certification, and support to certification authorities
Write and review technical reports
Participate in the Validation and Verification of requirements
Participate in the preparation, execution, and analysis of investigative, development, and certification tests, including on test benches and simulation platforms
Conduct technical investigations, analyze, and develop solutions
Exigences:
University degree in electrical, electronic, software, aerospace engineering, or equivalent
At least 8 years of experience in onboard avionics systems design, with good knowledge of programming and/or SCADE and software architecture
Familiar with DevOps principles and tools: Git, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins (an asset)
Good understanding of the following standards and norms (ARP4754, RTCA DO-178, DO-331, ARINC 429, AFDX)
Good understanding of aircraft systems regulations
Very good understanding of avionics systems, more specifically guidance, autopilot, and autothrottle systems
Interested in the specification, design, integration, testing, and certification of aircraft avionics systems
Enjoy working in a framework regulated by industry standards to ensure a high level of safety
Experienced in teamwork and have good organizational skills
Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
This role may involve some travels for business (worldwide)
Occasional travel within USA & Overseas
