The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for an engine performance professional to join our Engine Performance team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada). Your role as an Engine Performance Professional will consist mainly of being involved with the development and improvement of the current A220 platform and the engineering capabilities of our organization. The job involves interfacing with the various Centre of Competence (CoC) across Airbus on other platforms, and promoting the synergy between the CoC’s. You may also be assigned to work on thermodynamics tasks as needed.
Responsabilités:
Perform calculation, analysis and documentation related to powerplant performance (thrust, fuel consumption) and potentially operability & emission all along the program phases
Be involved in the development of powerplant performance characteristics and interface with other internal functions and suppliers
Support flight test data reduction, review and documentation
Provide engineering support to in-service investigations
Write reports demonstrating compliance with airworthiness regulations
Participate in the transformation of Airbus Canada engineering capabilities
Potentially perform detailed thermodynamics modeling and analysis as needed
Exigences:
Hold a Bachelor's or preferably Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with proven knowledge and hands-on experience in engine performance, thermodynamics concepts, and cycles
Working knowledge of Python, MatLab, Fortran, and/or similar programming languages, and experience with a UNIX work environment
Strong organizational and analytical thinking skills focused on process improvement and knowledge sharing
Advanced technical writing and effective communication skills for a multi-disciplinary environment
Proven initiative, strong sense of responsibility, and sound judgment, with the ability to work autonomously
A team player comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary working environment
Familiarity with relevant industry standards, certification requirements, and guidance material (asset)
