Description du poste:

Dans le cadre du développement de l'un de ses projets, DONTNOD Entertainment recherche un.e Level Designer F/H/X afin de renforcer ses équipes, en contrat à durée déterminée (CDD) ou en contrat freelance. Sous la responsabilité du Lead Level Designer et en suivant la vision posée par la direction créative, vous participerez à la conception et à la mise en œuvre des missions et espaces de jeu de notre Action-RPG open world. Vous contribuerez à créer des situations de jeu dynamiques, lisibles et immersives, centrées sur le combat, l’exploration et l’investigation.

Responsabilités:

  • Conception et structuration de missions, niveaux et situations de jeu intégrant exploration, combat et investigation
  • Définir les objectifs de gameplay, le rythme et les enjeux des missions
  • Créer les layouts jouables (blockouts / greybox) en collaboration avec les équipes World et Art
  • Utiliser le moteur de jeu (Unreal Engine 5) pour intégrer, paramétrer et itérer sur les missions et espaces de jeu
  • Mettre en place et équilibrer les rencontres de combat et les événements interactifs (patrouilles, NPC, objectifs, etc.)
  • Tester, ajuster et affiner régulièrement les niveaux
  • Travailler étroitement avec les équipes Gameplay, Combat, AI, World Art et Narrative
  • Identifier et corriger les bugs de scripting, de logique ou de gameplay
  • Documenter précisément les intentions et itérations

Exigences:

  • 5 ans d’expérience minimum en Level Design ou Quest Design sur un jeu 3D, idéalement un Action-RPG ou un jeu open world
  • Maîtrise d’un moteur de jeu 3D (Unreal Engine 5 dans l’idéal) et expérience sur un outil de création de flowcharts (Vision, Illustrator, Draw.io…)
  • Capacité à concevoir des espaces favorisant les mécaniques de combat, de déplacement et d’exploration
  • Notions de scripting (Blueprints, visual scripting ou langage équivalent)
  • Bon niveau d’anglais professionnel (lu, parlé et écrit)
  • Créatif.ve, autonome et rigoureux.se, vous aimez itérer pour améliorer le gameplay et proposer des solutions concrètes
  • Bon.ne communicant.e, vous appréciez le travail en équipe, le partage de connaissances et la co-création au sein d’un environnement interdisciplinaire
