CS GROUP is looking for a Geo-mechanical Study Engineer to join their Numerical Simulation agency. The role involves developing geo-mechanical models using software and analyzing results, focusing on boundary conditions, hydromechanical properties of formations, and behavior law parameters. The mission includes analyzing drilling reports, interpreting well test curves, developing mineralogical and stress models, and synthesizing mechanical properties from experimental results.

Responsabilités:

Analyze drilling reports and identify instabilities
Analyze log data and identify correlations between observed instabilities and lithology
Interpret well test curves (Leak-off-test, mini-frac tests, injectivity test, fall-off) using different flow theories
Develop mineralogical composition models of formations from logs
Develop models of in situ stresses considering depletion, natural fractures, uplift, and tectonic stress
Analyze model coherence through back-simulation of observed instabilities and well tests
Predict frac gradient and minimum mud weight for wells to be drilled
Interpret rock mechanics laboratory tests to determine poroelastic and rupture properties of rocks
Synthesize mechanical properties of rocks from experimental results on cores

Exigences:

Bac+5 or Bac+8 degree
Minimum 3 years of experience in geo-mechanics
Knowledge of geo-mechanical software (Geolog, Techlog, Cesar, Petrel, Elfen, Abacus, Visage, Maple, Matlab)
Mastery of geo-mechanical concepts (Wellbore stability, fracturing stresses, well stability, frac gradient prediction, minimum mud weight for drilling wells)
Fluent in English
Autonomous and curious
