This PhD project aims to investigate the evolutionary processes responsible for genetic divergence and marine endemism in a peripheral archipelago, by assessing the relative roles of geographic isolation, long-distance dispersal and local adaptation. The research will adopt a multitaxonomic approach combining genomic data (mitochondrial sequences, UCEs, ddRADseq and SNPs), phylogenetic and phylogeographic analyses, population genomics and complementary morphological analyses.
