The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a designer-integrator to join our door design team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada). You will be part of the Fuselage and Door structure team responsible for developing innovative solutions for long-term product improvements, supporting the final assembly line and in-service aircraft while ensuring the product's regulatory compliance. Your role as a designer-integrator will be to develop technical solutions, present them at various reviews, master project management (plan and budget), modify and approve engineering documents (2D, 3D, Reports), and proactively provide support to the various manufacturing sites.
Responsabilités
Produce concepts and 3D models, approve detail parts, structure and system installations and support external collaborating companies
Produce impact statements for changes relative to your function
Master project management for changes for which your team will be the prime contractor
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capability guidelines
Define, interpret and validate tests
Provide technical or risk analysis for the repair/acceptance of damaged structures or structures that are different from engineering specifications
Communicate and arbitrate between various functions such as stress analysis, systems, manufacturing, structural suppliers, Program office, logistics and quality to develop new designs and resolve issues
Manage your priorities, ensure adherence to change management plans and implement recovery plans to ensure deadlines are met
Work towards reducing non-quality, root cause analysis and improving efficiency within your sector and across the company
Exigences
You hold a Bachelor's degree or a College Technical degree in Engineering, Aerospace or equivalent, plus a relevant experience in aerospace or related industry, design (composites and metallic) and manufacturing
You show leadership skills, judgment, flexibility, initiative, and can work with minimum supervision
You have excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
You have a strong interest in product-related aeronautical regulations and have a continuous development-oriented attitude
You have strong knowledge of aircraft structures, detail design (sheet metal, machined parts, mechanism, composites, piping and component assembly), systems installation, configuration management principles, design for manufacturing, weight control, drafting procedures and standards, costs and schedule
You are proficient in using CATIA design software and the Google Suite
You have a high sense of commitment, able to meet tight deadlines and you have a sense of urgency
You are proficient in English (advanced, oral and written) and understand French
