The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a designer-integrator to join our aircraft doors team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with stress, material and processes and operation people. You will be part of the airframe team responsible supporting final assembly line as well as in service aircraft, and developing innovative solutions for long term improvement of the product. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively. Your role as designer-integrator will be to develop solutions, present them to boards, plan work and budget and update and approve the engineering drawings.
Responsabilités
Produce concepts, support external collaborating companies, and approve detail parts and structure and system installations
Produce impact statements for changes relative to your function
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capability guidelines
Define, interpret and validate tests
Provide analysis for repair/acceptance of damaged structures, or structure not as per engineering
Communicate and arbitrate between various function such as Stress, Systems, Manufacturing, Structural Suppliers, Program Office, Logistics and Quality to develop new designs and resolve issues
Manage your priorities, ensure adherence to change management plans and implement recovery plans to ensure deadlines are met
Work towards reducing non-quality and improving efficiency within your sector and across the company
Exigences
Bachelor's degree or College Technical degree in Engineering, Aerospace or equivalent
Relevant experience in aerospace or related industry, design (composites and metallic) and manufacturing
Leadership skills, judgment, flexibility, initiative, and ability to work with minimum supervision
Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
Strong knowledge of aircraft structures, detail design (composite, sheet metal, machined parts, piping and component assembly), systems installation, configuration management principles, design for manufacturing, weight control, drafting procedures and standards, costs and schedule
Proficiency in using CATIA software and Google Suite
High sense of commitment, able to meet tight deadlines and sense of urgency
Proficiency in English (advanced, oral and written) and understanding of French
