You will join the Oracle & SAM practice of Talan to work on audit, optimization, and migration missions of Oracle environments in large accounts. Our clients are large companies facing challenges of rationalizing their Oracle assets and transitioning to the cloud. The position covers the entire cycle: scoping and analysis of the existing park, definition of migration strategy, then execution of migration waves in collaboration with client technical teams.

Responsabilités

Conduct audit, optimization, and migration missions of Oracle environments in large accounts
Cover the entire cycle: scoping and analysis of existing park, definition of migration strategy, execution of migration waves in collaboration with client technical teams

Exigences

Oracle Database 12c / 19c / 21c administration in critical production environment
AWR, ASH, Statspack analysis
Knowledge of Oracle options and packs: Partitioning, RAC, Data Guard / ADG, Diagnostics & Tuning Pack, Advanced Compression
Detection and deactivation of unlicensed Oracle options (LMS/SAM audit context)
Sizing and right-sizing of Oracle instances (CPU, memory, I/O)
Operational experience on Oracle Database on Azure VM (IaaS) or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Knowledge of Oracle BYOL licensing model on Azure
Practice of Azure services around database: PostgreSQL Flexible Server, Azure Backup, Azure Monitor
Migration experience Oracle → Azure (lift & shift or re-platforming) is a determining asset
Knowledge of Oracle → PostgreSQL patterns: ora2pg, SQL compatibility, data types
Practice of replication/migration tools: GoldenGate, DMS, Striim or equivalent
Autonomy on broad analysis scopes in client context
Ease in technical reporting and production of deliverables (reports, remediation plans, dashboards)
Professional English (read/written)

Souhaitable

Experience with migration Oracle → Azure (lift & shift or re-platforming)
Knowledge of Oracle → PostgreSQL patterns: ora2pg, SQL compatibility, data types
Practice of replication/migration tools: GoldenGate, DMS, Striim or equivalent
