The Customer Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring customer quality and to support the development and continuous improvement of products, ensuring that quality issues are managed in a structured manner and that corrective, preventive, and improvement actions are effective and sustainable over time. The role contributes to customer satisfaction, the reduction of non-conformities, and the improvement of industrial performance, acting as a quality reference in projects and cross-functional site activities.

Responsabilités

  • Manage customer complaints using structured methodologies (8D, RCA), ensuring timeliness, effectiveness of corrective actions, and prevention of recurrence
  • Analyze defects, non-conformities, and customer quality indicators (0h, field issues)
  • Interface with customers, after-sales service, Sales, Operations, and R&D on quality-related topics
  • Support customer visits, audits, and quality inspections
  • Support the Project Leader in the correct application of the product development process and participate in project reviews
  • Contribute to product and process risk analysis (FMEA, control plans) and support problem-solving activities throughout the different project phases
  • Promote the integration of customer requirements and quality standards from the early stages of the project
  • Support the continuous improvement process in accordance with company procedures
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of quality tools and processes
  • Promote a quality culture within the organization

Exigences

  • Degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial, Electrical, or related fields) or technical education in Electronics or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years of experience in Customer Quality, Project Quality, or Quality Engineer roles within a structured industrial environment
  • Problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, FMEA)
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
  • Continuous improvement tools and familiarity with product development processes
  • Ability to analyze data and quality KPIs
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Ability to work in cross-functional and project teams
  • Structured, proactive, and improvement-oriented approach
  • Good communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent Italian
  • Good command of English (written and spoken) is essential

  • Liaising with all relevant stakeholders (FAL, Customer Line, Flight Test, Program, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering specialists) to frame the Non Conformity (NC)
  • Analyzing any NC impact on aircraft airworthiness requirements and providing Engineering assessment to recover compliance
  • Ensuring technical content for any documents dealing with aircraft conformity (NC, Concessions, Design Query Notes, etc.)
  • Identifying areas of inefficiency/repetitive issues and contributing to changes in processes and procedures
  • Representing Airframe Engineering for Quality improvements, including NC root-cause investigation and corrective actions
