Description du poste:

We are looking for a Bilingual Equipment Coordinator to join our team for morning shifts at our Lachine location, within a leading national transport company. In this role, you will be responsible for continuously tracking the movement and location of trailers in the terminal, ensuring all arrivals, departures, and in/out movements are properly recorded. You will regularly update the status of trailers in the system, perform routine inspections to check for damage or maintenance needs, and promptly update the system with any maintenance requests or identified issues.

Responsabilités:

Continuously track the movement and location of trailers in the terminal (in/out, arrival, departure)
Regularly update the status of trailers in the system
Perform routine checks on trailers for damage or maintenance needs
Update the system with any maintenance requests or identified issues
Monitor and record the frequency of use of each trailer, downtime, and maintenance frequency
Communicate with logistics, maintenance, and loading/unloading teams regarding trailer status, availability, and specific needs
Perform administrative tasks related to data management
Other relevant tasks related to the role

Exigences:

1 to 2 years of experience in a customer service or administrative role
Bilingual communication skills in French and English, both written and verbal
IT skills – MS Truck Mate products, web programs, and ability to learn new software easily
Demonstrated customer relationship skills
Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to work in fast-changing environments
Previous experience in transportation or operations is preferred
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-volume transaction environment

Souhaitable:

Previous experience in transportation or operations
Various experiences within the transportation sector would be an asset
