Our client is a well-established company in the wood construction sector, active in the manufacturing of prefabricated structures and architectural wood components for residential, commercial, and institutional projects. Strongly rooted in the Saint-Georges region, it focuses on quality, durability, and innovation. As part of its growth, we have been mandated to recruit an experienced Buyer, capable of strategically managing the procurement of wood construction materials.

Responsabilités:

Manage the entire procurement process for construction materials (lumber, engineered wood, hardware, insulating materials, etc.)
Identify and develop strong relationships with local and international suppliers
Negotiate contracts, prices, deadlines, and payment terms
Ensure effective inventory management, procurement planning, and adherence to project schedules
Collaborate closely with production, estimation, and logistics departments
Monitor market trends, anticipate price increases or supply disruptions
Participate in optimizing procurement and inventory management processes

Exigences:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the construction or wood sector
Very good knowledge of materials used in wood construction
Strong negotiation skills, priority management, and supplier relations
Sense of organization, rigor, and autonomy
Mastery of IT tools (ERP, Excel)
Training in supply management, administration, or construction engineering is an asset
Knowledge of environmental standards (FSC, PEFC) or regulatory standards (CNB, etc.) is an asset
