Truck Driver

• Maintain the physical inventory of the trailers within the facility in the corresponding manner
• Ensure trailers are available at the start of operations as planned by management
• Support when required with the entry of containers using the WMS system, ensuring the FIFO procedure
• Verify the content of the trailers against the manifest
• Deliver merchandise to customers as indicated in the documentation
• Pick up empty and full trailers from the ports
• Report any problem or change to the Fleet Coordinator and the Operations Manager or Supervisor
• Maintain control of the trailer yard to ensure a healthy flow of the operational plan
• Accommodate trailers in assigned areas taking into consideration the container size (40’, 45’ and 53’)
• Receive and dispatch external transportation suppliers for the three existing operations, documenting the movement in the TMR (Trailer Movement Report)
• Keep the vehicle in good condition, clean, and attend preventive maintenance appointments
• Report any mechanical problem the vehicle may have
• Respect traffic laws, follow established traffic and transportation procedures
• Ensure all trailers are in order, correctly located, and closed at the end of the shift
• Quickly report any condition that may endanger the health or safety of internal or external personnel and recommend measures to mitigate safety risks
• Provide administrative support such as: Generate 'Ship confirm' of the order using the WMS system, file and organize documents, among others, for the Logistics Department
• Complete required external container inspection documentation
• Make deliveries to hospitals, as required for the CDLC Department

• Valid Puerto Rico driver's license in the corresponding truck category (generally category 8 or 9)
• HAZMAT (Hazardous Materials) certification preferably
• Valid TWIC card to enter the Maritime Port
• Good driving record as established by the Department of Transportation (DTO)
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (over 65 pounds), bend, and perform continuous physical effort
• Good organizational skills, time management, punctuality, and focus on safety
• Customer Service: Service attitude and courtesy to interact with customers
• Good spatial perception
• Follow and interpret written, verbal, and graphic instructions
• Work independently and in a team
• Integrity, trust, work ethic, responsibility, collaboration, teamwork, and customer service
• Perform basic mathematical calculations
• Read and understand basic English
• High school diploma
• Minimum of one to three years of prior experience in merchandise delivery, cargo handling, or delivery distribution with trailers

HAZMAT (Hazardous Materials) certification preferably
