The Senior Strategic Sourcing Agent is responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives that optimize quality, cost, and patient outcomes across Coastal Community Health. This position conducts market research, analyzes financial and pricing data, develops sourcing strategies, and negotiates supplier contracts to achieve organizational savings and operational efficiencies. The role partners closely with clinical and operational leaders, Value Analysis Committees, and suppliers to evaluate products and services, support project deliverables, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. This position requires travel between Coastal Community Health affiliate locations.
Responsabilidades
Research, evaluate, and recommend products and services based on quality, cost, clinical value, and organizational objectives
Analyze pricing proposals, supplier quotations, financial data, and market trends to identify sourcing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives
Lead strategic sourcing projects from opportunity identification through implementation
Prepare, issue, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
Conduct supplier evaluations and contract analyses for presentation to clinicians, stakeholders, and Value Analysis Committees
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contractual agreements with vendors to maximize value and minimize risk
Monitor supplier performance and contract compliance, recommending amendments, renewals, or extensions as appropriate
Collaborate with clinical departments, finance, operations, and supply chain teams to support purchasing decisions and strategic initiatives
Maintain accurate contract documentation and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
Participate in cross-functional projects focused on standardization, utilization management, and continuous process improvement
Requisitos
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Preferred fields of study include Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory Science, or another related clinical or business discipline
1–2 years of experience in supply chain operations, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or procurement
1–2 years of purchasing or buyer experience, preferably in a healthcare environment
Less than 1 year of experience as a Contract Specialist, including contract development, analysis, and supplier negotiations
Less than 1 year of project management experience leading or supporting cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders
Less than 1 year of purchasing management or supervisory experience
Experience analyzing financial data, pricing proposals, and sourcing opportunities to support purchasing decisions
Healthcare experience is strongly preferred
Driver's License - DMV
Deseable
Clinical background (such as Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory, or other allied health discipline) or equivalent healthcare operational experience
Knowledge of value analysis processes and healthcare product standardization
Strong negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Experience working with ERP, purchasing, or contract management systems
