This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, learning new technologies, and contributing to a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same. Your work directly supports Baxter's mission of saving and sustaining lives by ensuring manufacturing equipment runs safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Responsabilidades:

  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on medical IV solution filling and packaging equipment
  • Working with automated systems, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and motor controls
  • Diagnosing electrical problems using schematics, drawings, multi-meters, and diagnostic tools
  • Resolves issues related to equipment, process, compliance
  • performs unscheduled maintenance and responds to trouble calls in a timely manner
  • Supporting equipment reliability through daily preventive maintenance
  • Maintaining and improving equipment using root cause analysis
  • Ensure work order system, maintenance, and facility procedures are followed and completed properly, including pre-approvals and signoffs
  • Documenting work accurately in the CMMS (Maximo preferred) and following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Performing equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations
  • Partnering with EHS and Quality teams to ensure full compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Working safely at all times while following Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout, and other safety programs

Requisitos:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Preferred Technical school training
  • 1-2 years of prior maintenance experience on automated manufacturing machines/equipment
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Familiar with programmable logic controllers (PLC) systems
  • Experience with motor controls, variable speed/variable frequency drives, servos, stepper motors, high speed packaging equipment, pneumatic systems
  • Capable of reading and working with electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, building drawings, and part diagrams
  • Working knowledge of photo eyes/sensors, limit switches, proximity sensors, temperature controllers, inkjet printers, and vision systems
  • Experience performing maintenance and troubleshooting of high-speed manufacturing/filling and packaging equipment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (ability to read, write and speak fluent English) and understanding of cGMP regulations
  • Good computer skills
  • Electrical knowledge and experience with AC/DC motors and drives, electrical systems up to 480V 3-Phase, relays, switches, sensors, solenoids, servo motors, low voltage systems
  • Must work in a clean room environment, wearing special garments
  • Must be able to work in Class I, Class II, Class III or Class IV Controlled Environment
  • Must be able to individually lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to bend/stoop, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balance
  • Normal visual acuity is necessary including the ability to distinguish colors
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for an employer in the U.S.

Deseable:

  • Maximo CMMS experience preferred
  • SCADA/EMS/BMS experience preferred
  • Cognex, Keyence vision systems preferred

  • Acquire and transport extruder blend using a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck)
  • Supply, operate, clean and maintain the Tubing Cutter and Extruder ensuring the correct blend is used and the manufacturing specifications are attained
  • Roll produced tubing onto reels and place and secure on mobile rack for storage
  • Transport enclosed mobile rack to staging area
  • Calibrate, adjust and operate various product monitoring machines as necessary
  • Clean and maintain vacuum filters, breaker plates, extruder pin, screen plates and related equipment
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance such as adjustments, replacement of machine parts, cleaning and lubrication while supporting Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
  • Perform scheduled quality checks (using various types of machinery and hand held measurement devices), disposition product, identify any deviations that may occur and take the appropriate action to include stopping production on the machine if necessary
  • Navigate the computerized Production Operating Management System (POMS) to access, manage and document batch information throughout the production process
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust as necessary a Kiefel machine using controls on an electrical control panel (HMI) or by making manual adjustments
  • Load and replenish production supplies (i.e. injection sites, tubing, PVC/Non-PVC roll stock and adhesive) at a rate consistent with production needs
  • Perform scheduled quality checks, disposition product, identify any deviations that may occur and take the appropriate action to include stopping production on the machine if necessary
  • Inspect finished product and ensure that the quality standards have been met
  • Load and secure finished product in mobile closets
  • Execute a machine changeover when assigned (material changeovers only)
  • Document required information on manufacturing logs and/or POMS system
  • Identify, correct or escalate any inefficiency in the machine’s performance
  • Test, inspect and package Inter-Plant Shipping Orders (IPSO)
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, or mechanical issues occur
