Jobbeschreibung:

As a train traffic controller, you work in the signal box. From there, you navigate train traffic and ensure safe, punctual, and smooth train operations. We are looking for career changers for retraining as train traffic controllers (m/f/d) at DB InfraGO AG at the locations Bremen, Bremer Rangierbahnhof, Bremen-Oberneuland, Ottersberg, Sagehorn, or Rotenburg (Wümme). The retraining takes place full-time (39 hours/week) and consists of theoretical and practical training sections. The theoretical training takes place in one of our supra-regional training centers, and your practical assignments take place as close to your home as possible. The training classes consist of approx. 12 participants.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

control train traffic via levers, push buttons, and rotary switches
set routes (track, switches, signals) for trains and ensure safe departure, e.g., from a station
monitor operations in stations
communicate and coordinate with colleagues in the signal box, train drivers, and control centers

Anforderungen:

successfully completed vocational training, e.g., as a retail salesman, restaurant specialist, bakery salesperson, or office clerk
basic PC skills
ability to remain calm and maintain an overview in demanding situations
team skills and willingness to take responsibility
willingness to work shifts (night, weekend, holiday work) and flexibility
