The Deutsche Bahn is offering a position with optional language training leading to an apprenticeship as a Train Traffic Controller (Zugverkehrssteuerer). Candidates with B1-level German can enhance their skills with a free online course to reach B2-level proficiency before starting their training in September 2026. This role involves coordinating the movement of trains through control centers using technology and communication with train drivers. It is a crucial role ensuring safe and timely transportation.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Learn from colleagues how to properly operate the technology in a control center
Understand when to press the right buttons and switches to manage signals (traffic lights) or switches (transitions for track change)
Communicate regularly with train traffic management colleagues, control centers, and train drivers
Ensure the safety and punctuality of train passengers

Anforderungen:

You have successfully graduated or soon will graduate with a recognized school certificate
Your German language skills are at B1 level
You have a strong interest in the listed training programs
You enjoy working in a team and are ready to take responsibility
