The 3-year apprenticeship as a train traffic controller (w/m/d) for S-Bahn Hamburg GmbH in Hamburg involves learning to operate the technology in a control center, coordinating train movements, and ensuring safe and punctual travel for passengers.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Coordinate trains from a control center
Monitor trains via screens or boards
Operate buttons, switches, and levers to influence train movement
Switch signals (traffic lights for trains) and switches (transitions for track changes)
Maintain constant contact with locomotive drivers and other team members

Anforderungen:

Successful completion of school with a recognized German school diploma
Ability to remain calm and maintain an overview in demanding situations
Willingness to take responsibility and work concentrated
Teamwork and reliability
Willingness to work in shifts
