Jobbeschreibung:

As a Zugverkehrssteuerer, you work in the signal box. From there, you navigate rail traffic and ensure safe, punctual, and smooth train operations. This is a retraining program for career changers starting February 2026, with 6-8 months of full-time training combining theoretical and practical instruction.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Control rail traffic from signal boxes using levers, push buttons, and rotary switches
Set routes (track, switches, signals) for trains and ensure safe departure from stations
Monitor operations in stations
Communicate and coordinate with colleagues in signal boxes, locomotive drivers, and control centers

Anforderungen:

Successfully completed vocational training (e.g., retail merchant, restaurant specialist, bakery salesperson, or office clerk)
Ability to remain calm and maintain overview in demanding situations
Basic PC skills
Team skills and willingness to take responsibility
Willingness to work shifts (night, weekend, holiday work) and flexibility
Good German language skills in speech and writing
