As a Zugverkehrssteuerer (rail traffic controller), you work in the signal box where you navigate rail traffic to ensure safe, punctual, and smooth train operations. This is a career change opportunity with training starting April 1, 2026, including theoretical and practical training phases in Koblenz, with subsequent work locations in Saarburg, Trier, Wellen, Wincheringen or Wittlich.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Control rail traffic from signal boxes using levers, push buttons, and rotary switches
Set routes (track, switches, signals) for trains and ensure safe departure from stations
Monitor operations in stations
Communicate and coordinate with colleagues in signal boxes, locomotive drivers, and control centers

Anforderungen:

Successful completion of vocational training (e.g., as cook, nursing staff, carpenter, or other field)
Basic PC skills
Ability to remain calm and maintain overview in demanding situations
Teamwork skills
Willingness to take responsibility
Willingness to work shifts (night, weekend, holiday work) and flexibility
