Jobbeschreibung:

As a Zugverkehrssteuer:in, you will work in a signal box near your home, monitoring train traffic to ensure safe, punctual, and smooth train operations. The retraining course lasts about 6 months, includes theoretical and practical parts, and takes place in Koblenz. After retraining, you will work in one of over 40 signal boxes in the region.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

monitor train traffic
operate switches and signals for trains
ensure safe entry and exit of trains
secure maintenance personnel by blocking tracks
communicate and coordinate with colleagues, train drivers, and control centers

Anforderungen:

successfully completed vocational training, e.g., as a cook, medical assistant, or roofer
cooperative team player
ability to make independent decisions
remain calm in challenging situations
willingness to take responsibility
readiness for shift work (night, weekend, holiday work)
flexibility
