Jobbeschreibung:

Career changer position as signal box operator/switch attendant. Training program includes theoretical and practical components in training classes of 12 participants. After training, responsible for controlling train traffic and rail track operations.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Control train traffic via levers, push buttons and rotary switches on small and medium-sized signal boxes
Responsibility for route checking, track clearance, clearance checking and train observation
Documentation of operational actions according to regulations
Communication and coordination with colleagues in the signal box, train dispatchers and control centers
Control, monitoring and regulation of rail tracks
Blocking tracks in case of disruptions

Anforderungen:

Minimum (qualified) secondary school certificate
Ability to remain calm and maintain overview in demanding situations
Own car and mobility willingness in the local area
Team skills and willingness to take responsibility
Willingness to work shifts (night, weekend, holiday work) and flexibility
