Jobbeschreibung:

The DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH is building the next generation of drone aviation for Deutsche Bahn, elevating rail infrastructure inspection to a new level. As a UAS flight planner, you'll create flight plans, assess risks, provide information for pilots, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure drone operations across Germany.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Create flight plans
assess air and ground risks using SORA
review geographic areas and map flight regions using GIS applications like QGIS and Google Earth
provide relevant flight information for pilots (e.g., flight region descriptions, specific details, emergency contacts)
submit flight plans for internal approval
maintain close communication with Operations and Privilege Management
ensure nationwide execution of drone flights.

Anforderungen:

Experience in planning flight areas for UAS flights in VLOS and BVLOS using SORA in the open and special categories
experience in the aviation industry, UAS legislation and regulations (particularly LuftVG, LuftVO, EU drone regulations), or in the official approval process
initial flight experience in unmanned aviation
enjoyment of understanding complex relationships and creating solutions
responsibility, careful and structured working style, and strong communication skills
proficiency with classic office applications
proactive and motivated teamwork to develop drone aviation for Deutsche Bahn.
