The job involves a tailored internal training program to become a signal mechanic. Responsibilities include maintenance of signaling and safety systems, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of components, and technical documentation. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and flexibility, with work starting and ending daily at the central base in Mainz.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

maintenance of various systems in signaling and safety technology
inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical components (e.g., signals, switches, level crossings)
assessment of system condition using modern measuring devices
technical documentation
tasks performed independently and reliably in a team
daily work starts and ends at the central base in Mainz

Anforderungen:

successfully completed training in electrical engineering (e.g., electrician, mechatronics technician, electrical specialist in industry, electronics technician for operational or automation technology)
readiness to participate in rotating on-call duty (every 4-5 weeks)
willingness to work outdoors
reliability
teamwork
flexibility
valid Class B driver's license is an advantage
