Job Title: Product Design Engineer – Wiring Harness (Passenger Cars) Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop Wiring Harness systems for Passenger Cars in line with engineering and regulatory requirements. • Create and support vehicle schematics development and ensure alignment with electrical architecture. • Define connectors, support electrification requirements, and ensure proper DMU integration and packaging feasibility. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to meet product development milestones and project timelines. • Analyze and resolve field issues through structured problem-solving and idea generation. • Participate in technical decision-making and ensure compliance with MB norms, standards, and processes. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with future advancements such as High Voltage and Battery systems. Required Skills and Experience: • 3–6 years of overall industry experience. • 2–4 years of relevant experience in Wiring Harness Design & Development. • Strong understanding of control systems, ECUs, and electrical-electronic functions within Passenger Cars. • Technical expertise in Wiring Harness design, connector selection, electrification, DMU, and packaging. • Basic understanding of product development processes and project lifecycle management. • Experience in handling field issues with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional global teams. • Proven capability in technical decision-making. Qualifikationen Educational Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering. • Post Graduate qualification in Design / Electrical / Wiring Harness is an added advantage. Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have): • Awareness of future technological advancements in Wiring Harness development such as Battery and High Voltage systems. • German language proficiency and experience working on global projects. • Experience working with MB norms, standards, and processes. • Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as Unigraphics NX, Ldorado, E3-Cable, and PREEVision. • Awareness of PLM systems.
