The 3.5-year training program to become a mechatronics technician for DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH in Cottbus focuses on providing foundational skills in mechanics and electronics, along with practical experience in maintaining and repairing train components. Training involves placements in Cottbus, the vocational school in Forst (Lausitz), and the training workshop in Jänschwalde.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Learn the basics of mechanics and electronics as a mechatronics technician
Learn about the maintenance and repair of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls in trains, such as information displays, doors, or monitoring systems
Test electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure ICE trains run efficiently
Install and test modern hardware and software components on vehicles
Use modern measuring and testing devices to identify and fix errors

Anforderungen:

You have successfully completed school or will soon finish, and your school degree is recognized in Germany
Your German language skills are at least at the B2 level
You enjoy technology and teamwork
Your knowledge in math and physics is particularly good
You are reliable
You work very precisely and are hands-on
