The DB Regio AG is offering a 3.5-year apprenticeship as a Mechatroniker:in (m/f/d) starting on September 1, 2026, in Dortmund. The apprenticeship includes vocational school and training in the workshop. The role involves learning about and working on the maintenance and repair of railway systems and vehicles.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Learn the basics of mechanics and electronics
Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles or technical systems in train stations or the rail network
Use modern measuring and testing equipment to find faults
Check electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
Learn about the maintenance of railway crossing systems and control systems in vehicles

Anforderungen:

School completion with a recognized diploma in Germany
German language proficiency at least B2 level
Interest in technology and teamwork
Good knowledge in mathematics and physics
Reliability
Precision and willingness to work hands-on
