Jobbeschreibung:

The role involves a 3-year training for train shunting as part of DB Cargo AG in Erfurt. Training and practical seminars are held in Halle Neustadt and Leipzig. The role focuses on marshaling trains, checking functionality, and technical train operations.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Mainly, you will marshal freight cars
You will assemble trains by coupling and uncoupling individual cars as a Train shunter
You will check the functionality of freight trains and ensure cargo safety
You will become familiar with your train vehicle and master the regulations for safe train operations
You will occasionally drive your train to nearby customers in your region to collect goods
Your workday will start and end at your regional marshalling yard.

Anforderungen:

You have successfully completed school (or will soon) and your school qualification is recognized in Germany
Your German language proficiency is at least B2
You enjoy working outdoors and are enthusiastic about technology
Responsibility is your strength, and you like making decisions
You are reliable
You are okay with shift work, weekends, and holidays.
