The 3-year apprenticeship as a Lokrangierführer:in (Eisenbahner:in im Betriebsdienst Lokführer:in und Transport) (w/m/d) for DB Cargo AG at the Halle (Saale) location involves working outdoors, handling freight cars, assembling trains, and ensuring the safety and functionality of freight trains. The apprenticeship includes vocational school in Halle Neustadt and seminars in Leipzig.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

Ranging freight cars
Assembling trains by coupling and uncoupling wagons
Checking the functionality of freight trains and securing loads
Learning the vehicle and rules of safe railway operation
Occasionally driving the locomotive to nearby customers to pick up goods
Starting and ending the workday at the regional marshalling yard

Anforderungen:

School education completed (recognized in Germany)
German language proficiency at least B2 level
Interest in working outdoors and enthusiasm for technology
Sense of responsibility and decision-making ability
Reliability
Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
